MELISSA JIMÉNEZ

INSPIRATION THAT FITS ANY STYLE

Melissa Jiménez, a renowned sports journalist, perfectly embodies the values and philosophy of Prunés, as she represents the elegance, authenticity, and commitment to quality that define the brand. Prunés is more than a jewelry brand; it is a statement of style and a reflection of each individual who chooses its pieces. With her charismatic presence and focus on natural beauty, Melissa conveys these same values impeccably.

(Question) Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your career?

(Melissa) I studied Journalism and Public Relations in Barcelona. My first job was at Punto Radio as a producer for a radio magazine show. After a few years interning in radio and TV in Barcelona, I moved to Madrid to work at MarcaTV, where I hosted various sports shows.

After two seasons at Marca, SKY Italia reached out to me to cover some MotoGP World Championship races. When that season ended, I joined Mediaset to cover MotoGP, this time for a Spanish channel.

I took a break from traveling to focus on my kids, balancing work with motherhood. I spent a few years hosting galas and events until three years ago when I decided to jump back in, now presenting the Formula 1 World Championship.

(Q) How does constant travel inspire you?

(Melissa) Now that I’m a mom, I find it harder to be inspired by travel—it feels more like a work destination, so I don’t place too much importance on the location. Though there are exceptions: cities like Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Budapest fascinate me, and I never miss a chance to enjoy them when I visit.

(Q) What talent would you like to have?

(Melissa) I’d love to play the violin or piano.

(Q) On what occasions do you find it essential to wear jewelry?

(Melissa) I almost always wear jewelry—usually understated pieces that feel like part of my personality and reflect who I am.

(Q) What type of jewelry do you wear daily?

(Melissa) I prefer yellow gold. I usually wear two or three thin yellow gold rings with small diamonds on my fingers, a couple of fine diamond bracelets, and one or two subtle necklaces. I also like to wear hoops of various sizes, in yellow gold, silver, or with diamonds.

(Q) What is the most special piece in your jewelry collection?

A RING IN YELLOW, ROSE, AND WHITE GOLD THAT BELONGED TO MY GRANDMOTHER.

(Q) Throughout your career, you’ve had the chance to do different collaborations. Why did you choose to collaborate with a jewelry brand like PRUNÉS?

(Melissa) It’s very important to me to feel connected to the brand I collaborate with. I’ve never collaborated with anyone I felt didn’t suit me. The world of PRUNÉS is discreet, fresh, and elegant, yet also sophisticated. I love wearing exclusive pieces that aren’t too showy. I like knowing that what I wear was crafted with care and attention to detail.

(Q) Is there a particular product from PRUNÉS that you love?

(Melissa) Yes, there’s a necklace that I always wear with me.
